People like love Hannibal? They think that he’s super attractive and just misunderstood?
Listen. He EATS PEOPLE.
Like, I won’t deny that he’s a really interesting character and Mads Mikelsen is really good at playing him, but he is evil. Straight up scary, will murder you and throw your liver on a plate evil.
People really need to stop romanticizing him on this website. It is really freaking me out.
The entire point of Hannibal Lecter’s character is to be attractive and charming and alarmingly manipulative.
The audience is supposed to be as taken with him as can be. He’s written that way in the books, he’s played that way in every single adaptation.
If Hannibal was not attractive, if he was not charming and suave and cultured and captivating, he’d have been captured a lot sooner.
His skill with seduction is as much a part of his well tailored person suit as everything else.
So uh… the canon itself actually does the romanticizing for us.
